Cloud innovators once again vote Lacework as G2 Leader

 

Lacework has, once again, been named a Leader in the G2 Summer Reports. Before I dig into the results, I’d like to mention that our customers are the reason for this recognition.

From our company’s inception, customer feedback has driven each and every platform enhancement. And, now, we get to boast an industry leading, code-to-cloud, cloud native application protection platform (CNAPP) — all thanks to our customers.

Let’s take a closer look at where Lacework landed this season.

This is the second round of reports that included CNAPP as a category, and Lacework has been ranked a Leader both times. CNAPP, as a term, has existed since 2021. However, Lacework has been offering a CNAPP for much longer. Before the term even existed, we heard the voices of cloud innovators, struggling to secure their dynamic environments. And we partnered with those cloud innovators to meet their needs.

Eight years later, the story is the same. Our platform enables our customers to secure and protect their cloud-native applications from build to runtime with a single platform approach. 

But Lacework is more than just a bunch of cloud security features, housed underneath a shared umbrella. These features complement each other. These features, which have been siloed within cloud environments for years, can share data to accomplish their jobs better. For example, with our custom risk scoring feature, we can cut up to 90% of your critical vulnerability noise and show you only those that matter most to your environment. How do we do it? By correlating build time and runtime data. Yes, runtime data that, for too long, has been claimed by CWPPs. 

Again, for nearly a decade, we’ve built the platform and the infrastructure to make features like this a reality. We’ve done the groundwork. We’ve spent years testing and refining our runtime agent to ensure optimal performance. And, now, we’re seeing the fruit of that labor. This custom risk score is just the tip of the spear in terms of what’s possible.

Within our CNAPP, customers can address the complexity of their cloud environments with comprehensive security that encompasses CSPM, CWPP, infrastructure as a code (IaC) security, container security, vulnerability management, cloud detection and response (CDR) and, now, cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM).
