Ayoub Fathi

Ayoub Fathi has been featured in major media publications including NBC News, CNN, Aljazeera, Al-Arabiya, and ZDNet, gaining recognition for uncovering critical security vulnerabilities in internet giants including the US Defense, Facebook, Google, Twitter, Snapchat, PayPal, Uber, and Shopify. His efforts have significantly helped these organizations’ missions to enhance the security of their applications.
Ayoub is a security leader with hands-on experience in various aspects of information security and strong business acumen. He is currently the Group Vice President of Information Security (acting CISO) for Noon Group, where he oversees the entire security portfolio for the group. This involves managing various security programs and simultaneously scaling the infosec department.
Ayoub enjoys being involved with all kinds of engineering projects. He designs and implements roadmaps across the organization, encompassing areas such as Offensive Security, DevSecOps, Security Architecture, Security Operations, Product Security, AppSec, and Cloud Native Security. Beyond technical expertise, he excels in the leadership side of security, including attracting/retaining talent, ensuring the security department attains KPIs/OKRs, building alliances, establishing strong cooperation with cross-functional teams and departments. He also builds programs around risk management, compliance, privacy, and regulations.
In terms of Engineering, Ayoub is a firm believer in scaling through automation: the detection/prevention of security risks at the heart of the engineering workflows, primarily through various Cloud-Native Security, DevSecOps, and CI/CD projects.
Ayoub enjoys spending time giving technical and leadership insights to his direct reports and meeting one-on-one. An engineer at heart, he lives by the motto, "using software to solve security problems." He enjoys speaking to software engineers throughout the organization and learning about their challenges as he creates security roadmaps to address some of their issues.
