Modern CISO Network: Board Book

Chaim Mazal is a highly accomplished cybersecurity expert and experienced board advisor with a proven record of building successful security programs at leading, fast-growing software as a service (SaaS) startups. Chaim is currently the Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Gigamon, a company pivotal to the security of more than 80% of Fortune 100 enterprises and hundreds of government agencies and educational organizations. As CSO, Chaim oversees Gigamon’s global security, information technology, network operations, governance, risk, compliance, internal business systems, and the security of their product offerings. Chaim has built engineering-first security programs at three of the highest valued multi-billion dollar SaaS startups in the Midwest: ActiveCampaign, Uptake, and Avant. Prior to joining Gigamon in 2023, Chaim was the Senior Vice President of Technology and CISO at Kandji, where he built a product-focused, industry-leading security program to support hyper growth. Chaim’s industry leadership and expertise not only shape his companies but also influence the broader cybersecurity landscape. He is a lifetime member of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Foundation and currently sits on several advisory boards, including Cloudflare, Gitlab, and Lacework.

He regularly contributes articles to industry publications and shares his insights through various speaking engagements at global conferences. His expertise has earned him notable recognition, including receiving the title of Cybersecurity Professional of the Year from the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.
