Evan Ferree is Senior Director, Head of Cyber Defense and Security Analytics at Elevance Health, leading global cybersecurity operations teams. Evan is a trusted leader with more than 10 years of experience creating strategy, implementing complex security programs, and managing IT operations to effectively manage and mitigate cybersecurity risks. He has held progressive leadership roles across various information security and information technology domains. He has a proven track record overseeing global teams with a diverse set of backgrounds and skill sets with focuses on hiring talent, coaching and mentoring, and building a strong team culture.

After Elevance Health suffered a major cybersecurity attack, Evan played a critical role supporting the recovery from an unprecedented healthcare data breach by deploying endpoint detection and response software to 100,000 endpoints, leading third-party compromise assessment of Elevance Health subsidiaries and affiliates, and leading the execution of mission critical information security maturity projects. Evan holds a BS in Informatics from Indiana University. He is active in his community by serving as an advisor for TechPoint, actively volunteering to promote cybersecurity career opportunities, volunteering on his neighborhood homeowners association board, and participating in food insecurity initiatives within Indianapolis.
