Modern CISO Network: Board Book

Gunnar Woelke has been an IT security expert since 1998, and has worked the full spectrum of security roles from consultant to architect to team lead. Recently, Gunnar has shifted to an acute focus on leadership roles ranging from managing director to CISO, a position in which he currently resides at OBI Smart Technologies.

Gunnar began his career out of university as a security solutions consultant working for Nokia Siemens Networks out of Dusseldorf, Germany. From that role, he quickly climbed the ranks first as a management consultant at 7P Solutions and then as a team manager of security at Seven Principles AG. His leadership role expanded at DKV Mobility Services, where he became CISO as well as Head of Information Security from July of 2016. In March 2022, Gunnar took a role as Head of Department Information Security at OBI Smart Technologies, GmbH, where he currently resides.
