Edison is currently the VP and CISO at MasTec, a distinguished Fortune 500 company, where he successfully established and now oversees a robust enterprise information security program. Under his guidance, MasTec’s security architecture and risk profile have undergone remarkable enhancements. Edison’s strategic approach includes the development of a comprehensive catalog of shared services, covering critical areas such as business continuity, security awareness, incident response, application security, and security monitoring. These services are leveraged by over 20 subsidiaries within the parent company. Edison also led a significant improvement in regulatory compliance and a heightened awareness of phishing threats at the company by implementing a standardized security framework, introducing innovative disaster recovery programs, and implementing cloud-based solutions and self-testing capabilities for the IT department. Edison previously operated an IT security and consulting firm, where he provided innovative solutions in information security policy enhancement and HIPAA compliance for Burger King, Baptist Health, and other companies.

As an Information Security Manager with the billion-dollar healthcare corporation MedNax Services, Edison restructured the IT policies and procedures, introduced compliance audits, and redesigned the network infrastructure to meet Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) requirements.
