Kristen Beneduce is the Deputy CISO at Nextdoor, where she leads secure corporate business enablement initiatives including zero trust, incident handling, cyber resilience, and automation. Kristen held multiple national security practitioner roles thwarting national states at DOE and the Federal Reserve. She has 15+ years of experience in developing security technologies including a portfolio of projects leveraging AI to improve cyber operations, threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident response, malware research, and a track record of successfully transitioning research technologies to practice. Kristen is a vocal DEIB champion and the founder of the Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Silicon Valley, a cybersecurity venture advisor, founding member of the Synack Firstboard.io Cybersecurity Council, speaker, and security community builder.
