Michael Lyborg is the CISO and Senior Vice President of Global Security & Enterprise IT at Swimlane, the leader in cloud-scale, low-code security automation. As CISO, Michael oversees the global information security and enterprise IT functions, ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance for Swimlane’s customers and partners.

Prior to taking his current role, Michael was Swimlane’s Global Vice President of Advisory Services, successfully leading engineering teams and authoring controls, policies, plans, and procedures for various compliance certifications, including SOC2, ISO 27001, and CMMC. As a highly sought-after expert, Michael has advised the world's largest Fortune 500 companies and global government agencies on creating and operating industry-leading security operations programs. He has worked with organizations in North America, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia.

Before joining Swimlane, Michael was a head of security for the Fortune 100 fastest growing pharmaceutical company Heska (HSKA), where he held multiple responsibilities for global security operations, engineering, and compliance. His roles at Swimlane and Heska built on a decorated US Marine Special Operations career supporting both cyber and physical response and the mitigation of emerging threats.

Michael’s core competencies include FedRAMP and third party risk management (TPRM), computer network defense, vulnerability assessments, forensic investigations, project and knowledge management, and team leadership. He has successfully led diverse and cross-functional teams across multiple regions and continents, delivering complex and high-impact projects and missions under challenging and dynamic conditions.
