Mostafa is an accomplished cybersecurity expert and leader with over a decade of experience in Switzerland. He has demonstrated solid engineering and leadership skills, guiding individuals, teams, and organizations in developing, designing, implementing, and enhancing their cybersecurity posture and capabilities. His expertise spans the entire spectrum of cybersecurity, from cultivating a security-conscious culture to producing secure code and fortifying infrastructure and products with a keen business acumen. With an educational background that includes a BS in Computer Science from the University of Loughborough, an MS in Software and Systems Security from Oxford, and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD, Mostafa possesses a solid foundation of knowledge and scientific research. Complementing his academic achievements, he holds various software and security certifications, including a GCHQ certification. Mostafa has received training in public and media relations as well as crisis management, which are backed with experience in incident/crisis management.

Mostafa’s career has encompassed both small and large corporations, predominantly within the banking and finance sectors, as well as file sharing and online marketplaces (e-commerce/re-commerce). Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing and developing the security practices and capabilities of Switzerland’s leading brands, such as Ricardo, Tutti.ch, Homegate, Immoscout24, and Autoscout24. He has also contributed significantly to the creation and implementation of security concepts, guidelines, and standards within the banking and finance industry, ensuring compliance with national, regional and international directives and regulations. Mostafa is an elected Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Expert in Canton Zug, and in his current role, he is actively leading the efforts to protect billions of Swiss Francs in assets, the well-being of thousands of employees, and the protection of millions of customers in Switzerland’s largest group of online marketplaces (SMG).
