As an experienced information technology professional, Mykola Machnowsky has established and matured security organizations; introduced SOC 2 and PCI frameworks with controls; architected continuous security monitoring mechanisms; implemented real-time threat detection, incident response, and compliance monitoring; and coordinated the efforts to obtain SOC 2 and PCI reports and attestations. He has been involved in multiple successful mergers and acquisitions that have included conducting internal and external audits, identifying and remediating gaps, collaborating with external parties to ensure adherence to the necessary controls and standards, and working with all levels from financing entities such as private equity firms, board members, and lower to upper-level management and team members.

Defining team’s roles and responsibilities and providing necessary training to enhance expertise in security operations, incident response, and compliance management, he has enabled his teams to proactively identify and respond to security incidents, implement security patches and updates, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. He successfully migrated several enterprise application services at multiple organizations to cloud services with a very strong focus on security implemented into the new architecture. Throughout the entire migration processes, he fostered collaboration and communication with key stakeholders, including application owners, development teams, and executive leadership. This ensured that security was embedded in the overall project plan and that all parties understood the importance of adhering to security best practices while fostering a security-focused approach.
