Nathan Morelli

Nathan Morelli has held a long and successful career in cybersecurity across defense, consulting, private, and public organizations and has experience leading both large and small cybersecurity teams. Nathan has successfully led initiatives that have reduced cybersecurity risk, increased maturity, and enabled organizations to achieve business objectives in heavily regulated and increasingly targeted environments.
In his current role, Nathan Morelli is the Head of Cyber Security and IT Resilience at SA Power Networks, South Australia’s sole electricity distributor that delivers power to around 900,000 homes and businesses. He is responsible for leading cybersecurity risk management, IT system resilience, and modern digital identity management capabilities. During his time in this role, Nathan has successfully increased cybersecurity maturity to align with industry standards and completed the project ahead of schedule and within budgetary constraints. The project has been externally recognized as a leader by organizations such as Exabeam and AttackIQ for its innovative approaches to reducing cybersecurity risk.
Nathan serves as a member of multiple global customer advisory boards, including CrowdStrike, Splunk, and Proofpoint. Nathan also serves as a member of the Financial, Risk, and Audit Committee for the Australian Institute of Advanced Technologies and as a member of the South Australian Privacy Committee.
