Modern CISO Network: Board Book

Nuno Teodoro is a Chief Information Security Officer with experience ranging from the Big Four, startup, FinTechs, and Global Fortune 500 companies. Nuno takes a hands-on approach and is able to clearly translate technical jargon for the board room, aligning cybersecurity strategies with business priorities.

He has hands-on experience in building information security teams from scratch and maturing security standards, cybersecurity regulations, and compliance assurance programs.

He has designed and implemented security controls and migration strategies from legacy on-prem to cloud-native architectures on both AWS and Azure, while finding innovative solutions that foster speed and freedom for SREs, devs, and other engineering teams.

Nuno has also built effective vulnerability and patch management processes, hardening automations, cyber defense centers, and CSIRT teams along with continuous security monitoring capabilities ranging from network to applicational layers, procuring, and owning all the toolset from XDR/SIEM/Scanners/Threat Intel/SOAR/etc.

Nuno has experience operating at an executive level with the C-suite and liaising with regulatory bodies in addition to managing international wide certification and cyber programs.

He is currently acting group-level VP for Cybersecurity at Solaris SE (Europe’s leading Bank-as-a-Service). Previously he has served as the Cyber Security and Privacy Officer for Huawei, Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Truphone, and Information Security Officer in multinational organizations such as Allianz.

He is a member of the ISACA Portugal board, GSMA Fraud and Security Group, Executive Cyber Exchange, ClubCISO, and the ECSO European CISOs Community.
