René Beiler is a seasoned manager in the information security field, who has worked for several companies that were part of larger, globally operating corporate groups. René is currently the CISO of S-Bahn Berlin, which is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn and part of the public transportation systems of Germany’s capital. In addition to managing information security, he focuses on building an OT security program. René successfully helped the company to acquire large brand customers by meeting the customer-set requirements and advising the company’s senior management. He constantly aligned and adapted information security to the company’s business strategy and needs to meet industry-specific information security requirements like PCI DSS, TISAX, or BAIT, as well as legal requirements like GDPR, while protecting the business. He supported senior management with his expertise during the merger and acquisition (M&A) of The unbelievable Machine Company by Basefarm Group and later by Orange Group.
For his constant support and success, René has been invited to join The unbelievable Machine Company’s senior management team. René is based in Berlin, Germany, where he lives with his wife and two kids.
