Rinki Sethi

Rinki Sethi is Vice President, CISO, and CIO at BILL, a publicly traded financial technology company based in Silicon Valley. With an impressive career spanning across industries, Rinki has held security leadership positions at companies like Pacific Gas and Electric, Walmart.com, eBay, Intuit, Palo Alto Networks, and IBM, including VP and CISO roles at Rubrik and Twitter.

Rinki has managed large-scale global security infrastructure on-prem and in cloud, securing 400,000+ endpoints, leading $500M+ budgets and security teams of 500. With a master’s degree in information security, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, and industry-recognized certifications including the CISSP and CISA, Rinki brings a deep understanding of technology into her work.

Rinki serves on the board of directors at Vaultree, a private data encryption company, and One Prosper, a nonprofit organization empowering girls and women in India. She is also on the advisory boards for Graduate Studies at University of California, Davis; Cyber Fellows at New York University; and several cybersecurity startups.

As a recognized thought leader, Rinki has published articles in Fortune, Forbes, and Wall Street Journal and is a frequent keynote speaker for large global events. She is also on the advisory board and regular contributor at Dark Reading.

Rinki served on the development team for the ISACA book, “Creating a Culture of Security,” by Stephen Ross. Rinki led the creation of the first cybersecurity badges for the Girl Scouts of USA, building curriculum for grades K-12 to enable cybersecurity education for girls in every zip code in the US. Rinki is recognized as a leader in industry D&I initiatives, serving as an executive sponsor for several women in technology groups. She is also an angel investor in several cybersecurity startups.
