Stefan Baldus built the information security department at Hugo Boss from the ground up 12 years ago, implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the company’s data and assets. Information security and cybersecurity are Stefan’s passions. Not only does he have a strong understanding of governance topics, but he also has a deep technical background.
He believes that in the massive world of cybersecurity, organization and structure are king. Being a CISO of such a diverse company, managing hundreds of different topics simultaneously, is extremely challenging. To get things done effectively, Stefan makes a plan, builds the security house, and gets it organized. Otherwise, the team can run from one topic to another without actually getting things done. Stefan never lets the big picture get out of sight and always makes sure to combine the technical strategy with the company's business strategy.
